Factions of Meles

Factions in Midland are loosely associated groups that arent essential to the Player's progression, but you can certainly interact with depending on who they are. Not all Factions are represented here.

The C.O.G (Coalition of Organized Garrisons)

The COG are the Melesian Military Power. All members are recruited locally, and then trained at a military Academy then serve for 8-12 year's. They are known for their use of mechanical wonders when engaging in battle. The COG are currently at war with Burgandy over land disputes.

Burgarians

Although Bergher are a race of tall humanoids, they exist as a culture and society known as The Burgarians. Many of them serve in clans who dispute their claims through war. Currently they are fighting Meles regarding recent Claims to land.

Dawngaurd (or Dawngard)

The Dawngard is a Clerical Order whose foundations go as far back as 200 year's or more. The Order itself prides itself on bringing order to Dark Places and serve as Witch Hunter's, Undead Killers, and Leaders against any unholy denizen in which meles is in no short supply of!

Adventurers Guild

Possibly the oldest profession and Guild in Meles, the Adventurers Guild makes a huge impact on Melesian Economy as they explore forgotten ruins, discover new territory, and even survey for resources. The guild itself prides itself as being a center for Treasure Hunting and even rank their best members according to what they find.

Greenbury Outlaws

One single Thieves guild does not exist in this realm, rather an association of many small guilds that form a Syndicate around an unwritten rule known as Thieves Honor. Greenbury are Outlaws that pursue wealthy merchants, and individuals with a hefty amount of gold in their pockets. Theyre tough and don't take prisoners but are known to have some sense of honor when they get what they want from you.

The Constabulary

An organization of thugs bouncers and tough street folk, the Constabulary are the police enforcers of Meles City. They hire locally and don't often do background checks, if you're fit and tough for the streets of Meles you're fit and tough enough to become a Constable. Their base of operations is The Yard where they hold all offenders for trial. If you're not careful, you could end up there too.

The Workers Guild

This guild is relatively new formed by the Workers Rights Act and even forming the Workers Union Party to represent the Working Class Citizen in Meleisan Politics. There is currently a Guild in Southgate who sponsor Newcomers looking for Hard Labour.

Merchant's Alliance Guild (Or MAG)

The M.A.G is the biggest faction in Meles, dipping their hands in just about every time of lucrative endeavor from funding expeditions, to helping develop new technology, and even controlling a portion of its free market overseeing imported and exported goods on their rail lines.

Bard's College

The Bard's College is a collective group of Theatrical and creative members of the arts and music who teach people everything from entertainment to painting to even comedy and street performances.
